The golf outing has been set for August 5, 2011 8 am registration 9 am tee off. To register your team online Entry Form   As done in the past, the chamber will be looking for hole sponsors, prize donations, food donations and volunteers.

Rich Oberle, Jim Thorne (Supt. Westville Schools), Lew Cass, Carrie McKibbin (LPSavings Bank), Dan Drexler, and three Westville High School students attended the La Porte County Rural Summit on March 14th in Wanatah. The theme of the summit was "Think Regionally, but act locally". The emphasis of the summit was to demonstrate how rural communities contribute to the growth and welfare of the region. Each community was asked to design and present a community plan inspiring community projects. Each community was able to submit their plan for the chance of obtaining a 500 dollar grant. Communities awarded the grant money will be named in a few weeks.
